WHY REGISTER A WILL One of the most important advantages of registering your will at The Will Registry Office is that it will be the first place your executors or family will look, and you can be assured that it is held safe and secure. It is also important to remember that your will is a legal document, and it has been registered and recorded in the event of your death. By registering your will it will prevent any attempt to administer your estate by bypassing your will or, avoid any attempt to destroy your will intentionally or otherwise by a person who may be unhappy with the contents if it's left in your home. Another obvious advantages of registering a will is that your executors know where the will is kept, this can be helpful knowing that a will can normally be obtained within 24 - 48 hours after application, therefore safeguarding any preferences you may have about funeral arrangements, where you would like to be buried, what type of church service you requested, and any wishes you may have about the use of your body for medical purposes after death. Some of the thing we don't like talking about when we are alive. ITS IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER Irrespective of the amount of property involved, if the will cannot be found, the law automatically dictates what happens to his/her property without allowing any opportunity to consider what the wishes of the deceased would have been. If you've made a will, or have a relative or friend that you know would benefit from this service, please contact our address for further information.
